It's a chance for those who sharing a spirit for hot-rodding to get together, travel the back roads of America, and spend five days being immersed in the hot-rodding culture. These marvels of speedy travel let people whiz past much of what makes America great. Seeing the small towns that are now "off the beaten path," and the people that live in them, is one of the gems discovered by those on their first HOT ROD Power Tur (HRPT).

The first HRPT happened in May of 1995 and started at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Just 200 cars showed up.

Back then, the Power Tur was seven days, and the first year it traveled from California to Kansas, Chicago, and Detroit before finishhing up in Norwalk, Ohio—a grueling 2,800 miles! These days, the tur has been moved to five days so that it's easier for people to take time off work to attend, and with more things happening at the venues, the route was shortened so people have time to hang out, drag race, autocross, or just santai the atmosphere.

For those rusty on the Power Tur, it's an moment that takes place over five days and includes four venues across multiple states. Traditionally, but not always, it starts where the previous year's moment concluded, which meant that for 2023 our starting poin was Atlanta Motor Speedway.
